I DO NOT OWN THIS BOOK.
Ella is the daughter to a merchant and a Duchess. When she was born, she cried for hours. A fary named Lucinda, gave her the gift of obedience. Anytime she is given a order she has to obey.
When she is about sixteen, her mom dies. And her father that knows nothing about her, send her to finishing school.
Beforehand she meets prince Char. And a women known as Dame Olga, and her two daughters Hattie and Olive. And she finds out that there cook Mady, is her farygodmother.
She goes to the school with Hattie and Olive. On the trip, Hattie finds out that if she give a command Ella dose it. Though she doesn't know about the curse.
At the school, Hattie uses Ella a lot. Ellas only comfort is a Ayortha named Areida (Areidas sister is the star in another book.)
Sadly tho, Hattie commands that Ella stop being friends with Areida. So she leaves the school in the middle of the night.
She finds out that her father is at a giants wedding. She decides to go, in hopes of finding Lucinda. But before she gets there, she is captured by some ogres.
She ends up travel with them for a day and a night. Before Char and some of his knight come across them and saves her.
One of the knight's took her to the wedding. She dose ends up finding Lucinda but she does not take back the cures.
She goes back home with her father, in which she finds out that her father is broke and is going to marry Dame Olga.
After the wedding, in which Ella mats and dances with Char. Her father lives and Ella is made into a servant. Her step family is mean towards her.
She finds out that Char is having a three balls, in which he hopes in finding a bride. Ella would love to marry him, but her gift would cause trouble.
So for the ball she goes in dislikes. Char ends up falling for her. At the end of the last ball, Hattie takes the mask off of Ella and everyone knows who she is.
She runs of, back home and tries to leave, but Char shows up. After a long conversation, that I think was very well written. Ella breaks the curse and marry s Char.
I left a lot out, I didn't want to give away much. I do love this book, it is one of my favorite.
