The Lost Necklace.

Jenny was so excited! She was going to see the new sci-fi movie, that came out two weeks ago. While waiting for her friend, Tess, to get their  tickets, Jenny was watching all the different people who came in and out.

A man wearing a three piece suit held the door for a young mother and her two kids. Four teenaged boys were in front of her, talking excitedly about the movie.  An elegant women, wearing a light blue dress and a diamond necklace, with a handsome man, just walked in the theater.

“I got the tickets!.” Tess called, as she came towards Jenny.

“Great!” Jenny said. The girls locked arms, and walked into the theater. They bought some popcorn and cokes, then walked to their seats and settled down for the movie.

It was a very interesting movie. It had starship fights and a couple fist fights. It also had a talking raccoon, and a giant talking tree. It had some humor in it. The two girls really enjoyed  it.

When the movie was over the girls waited patiently for those in front of them to go. Then they started shuffling their way to the door.

Jenny stopped. There in front of her was a small diamond necklace. she scooped it up and looked around, hoping someone would jump up and say it was their,s. No one did.

“What do you have there.” Tess asked, looking over Jenny's shoulder.

”It’s a necklace.”she answered, showing her the necklace.

“Cool!” Tess said. “ What are you going to do with it?”

“ I don’t know. I guess I should take it to the lost and found.” Jenny said turning to go.

“Do theaters have lost and founds?” Tess asked walking behind her.

“I assume so” Jenny said. They walked out of the movie room, spotted the lost and found sign.and walked to it.

“Can I help, ladies?”  the man at the lost and found asked.

“ I hope so.” Jenny said. ”We found this necklace, and wanted to return it.” Jenny held it up.

“There it is Charales!. My necklace!” a voice behind the girls called. They turned around and saw the lady wearing the blue dress, And her husband, that Jenny had seen when Tess was getting the tickets.

“You found it!. You found me necklace!.” The lady said stopping right in front of them.
“Yes.” Jenny said a little surprised. “It was on the floor.” The lady took the necklace and put it on.The man pulled out his wallet and, smiling, handed the girls two twenty dollar bills each.

“That necklace has been in my wife's family for years, and we can’t thank you enough.”
the man said.

“ Yes! Thank you very, very much!.” the women said. Then they turned around and left.

“Wow, that was something.” Tess said looking at her forty dollars.

“No kidding.” Jenny said. She never saw the women again or her husband, But to her dying day Jenny remembered, the woman and the wonderful feeling she had. handing the necklace over to her.
